Satinseide ist ein sehr dünner, blickdichter Stoff. Fällt schwer. Eine Seite ist glatt, die andere- matt.

Satin (franz. satiné : seidig, seidengläntend)

Dupionseide (Wildseide) hat etwas unregelmäßige Struktur, fühlt sich sehr weich an glänzt ganz leicht. Fällt steifer als die Satinseide aus. Blickdicht.

Georgette (Seide) ist ein schwerfallender, leicht durchsichtiger Stoff. Er hat krause Oberfläche, sandartigen Griff und leinwandbindige Gewebe.

Chiffon (Seide) hat einen feinen, transparenten, unregelmäßigen Oberfläche.

Seidentaft hat eine glatte, seidig schimmernde Oberfläche. Blickdicht.

Im Sommer kühlt die Seide und sorgt für eine optimale Feuchtigkeitsregulierung.

Die Pflege der Textilien aus Seide erfolgt entweder in der Waschmaschine (im Schonwaschgang, unter Verwendung spezieller Waschmittel) oder von Hand.

Vor Hand wird der Stoff in kaltem bis lauwarmen Wasser mit Seife oder Seidenwaschmittel kurz eingeweicht. Mit kalten Wasser und etwas Essig spülen, anschließend vorsichtig ausdrücken und in nassem Zustand in Form ziehen.

Der Stoff wird feucht und mäßig warm gebügelt.

Iron

When using strass stones size SS 10 or more, you do not necessarily need auxiliary means such as foils or applicators. You may place the individual stones on the fabric and press them on with the iron at wool temperature for 6 to 12 seconds, depending on the size.

Quite a number of irons have holes in the bottom plate. Please make sure that the hole is not on, but beside the stone to be applied.

Embroidery Fleece - Can Be Removed

How to work with embroidery fleece:

1. To be used for appliqués:
- Cut out a piece of fleece somewhat larger than the piece to be appliquéd, put it under the appliqué and sew it on. Then remove the fleece.
2. If you use embroidering machines with frames
cut out a piece of fleece somewhat larger than the frame, put it into the frame together with the fabric, then carry out the embroidering
- without frame
Simply put it under the appliqué

Vliesofix for Application

How to work with Vliesofix

1. Cut out the motif allowing for large enough margins around the motif. Put the verso of the motif on the rough side of the Vliesofix (or, alternatively, draw the desired motif on the paper side of Vliesofix).
2. Iron on with baking paper, without dampening
3. Carefully cut out the motif
4. Remove the paper
5. Locate as desired and iron on with a cloth step by step

6. When sewing (with zigzag-stitches), underlay with embroidery fleece
